The Bennett Institute for Public Policy invites applications for a Research Assistant.

The Bennett Institute is a major, multi-disciplinary research centre committed to producing world-leading research on policy questions in the age of disruption. It is based at the University of Cambridge, and housed within the Department for Politics & International Studies, and is led by its inaugural Director Professor Michael Kenny, Professor Diane Coyle, the Bennett Professor of Public Policy, and Acting Director Professor Dennis C. Grube.
The Research Assistant will undertake a range of research tasks in support of the Institute's programmes of research which include: the structures, processes and challenges of political decision-making in a policy context; how and why 'place' matters in public policy; the relationship between science, technology and democracy; and the importance of well-being and public health as goals for policy-makers.
The successful candidate should have a good first degree in one of the Social Sciences or another cognate discipline, a good understanding of the policy-making process, and excellent knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research. A degree in political science or political history would be particularly welcome. They should be flexible and adaptable, and may be called upon to support the events programme of the Institute.
