Alwyn Spencer is a senior government official currently focused on the political economy implications of spatial inequalities, including the consequences for both domestic and international policy. He has previous experience of international institutions, international economics, international trade, regional policy, infrastructure strategy, and anti-money laundering/counter financing of terrorism. Before joining the UK government he worked at the World Trade Organization and the European Commission. He holds an MA in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick, and is a Fellow of the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, Harvard University.
