Professor Anna Alexandrova

Professor Anna Alexandrova is a Professor in Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge, with a special focus on social sciences. Prior to her current role, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri, USA. Since 2018, Anna has been the Principal Investigator on the project ‘Expertise Under Pressure’ at the Centre for Humanities and Social Change. Her research is on the philosophy of social sciences, especially economic modelling, explanation, and the science of wellbeing. She has written a book on the latter topic, ‘A Philosophy for the Science of Wellbeing,’ which won the 2022 Gittler Book Prize of the American Philosophical Association.
