Eric Sutherland is a Senior Health Economist at the OECD, leading work on digital health, health data governance, and AI in healthcare. He is responsible for evolving the OECD’s Recommendation on Health Data Governance and supporting policy focused on data security and access. Prior to the OECD, Eric led the Secretariat for Canada’s Health Data Strategy, authoring the Pan-Canadian Health Data and Information Governance Framework. He has taught courses in data science, health governance, and privacy.
