Irene Palacios is a Research Associate at the Centre for the Future of Democracy at the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining Cambridge, she was a Postdoctoral researcher at Maastricht University. She holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute in Florence. She is the author of two books on citizens’ attitudes about the quality of democracy in Spain and several journal articles. Her main research interests are located in the field of democratic attitudes, quality of democracy and political institutions from a comparative perspective.
