Professor Jude Browne is the Head of Department of Politics and International Studies and the Jessica and Peter Frankopan Director of the University of Cambridge Centre for Gender Studies (on leave whilst HoD of POLIS). She is also a Fellow in Human, Social and Political Sciences at King’s College.
Professor Browne’s particular research interests are situated at the intersection of political theory and public policy and include gender inequality, the concept of the public interest and the impact of new technologies on society.
Her current book project is on the topic of Political Responsibility. Professor Browne was a student of Clare College 1996-1999 (Social and Political Sciences), a post-doctoral research fellow at Downing College, a European Commission Research Fellow and a Nuffield Research Fellow (2001-2006) before becoming a Cambridge UTO in 2007.
