Professor Meg Russell FBA is the Director of the Constitution Unit at University College London. She is author of two books on the House of Lords, plus numerous other papers and reports. In 2001–03 she was full-time adviser to Leader of the House of Commons Robin Cook, including on Lords reform. Her latest book, with Lisa James, is The Parliamentary Battle over Brexit (Oxford University press, 2023).
