Davide is a Research Associate at the Bennett Institute for Public Policy. His research combines Geography, Political Economy, and Public Economics. It mainly focuses on the ways in which territorial governance and political institutions affect public service delivery and economic development at the local level.
Davide’s work has been published in various international academic journals, including the Journal of Economic Geography, World Development, the Journal of Development Studies, and the Cambridge Journal of Regions, Economy, and Society.
Before joining the Bennett Institute Davide was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School of Government, worked for the European Commission, and consulted for the European Parliament. He holds a PhD in Economic Geography from the London School of Economics (LSE). Davide's thesis was awarded the 2016 G. Leonardi PhD Dissertation Prize and the 2014 G. Atalık Prize.
Davide is also a Visiting Fellow at LSE (Middle East Centre) and affiliated to the Gran Sasso Science Institute (Urban and Regional Lab).
