Congratulations to Diane Coyle for being awarded an honorary degree by the University of Glasgow.

Professor Dame Diane Coyle is being honoured with a Doctor of Letters (DLitt) in the University of Glasgow Honorary Degrees 2025 in recognition of her meaningful contribution to society.
Professor Coyle is well known for using her position as a highly influential female economist to make the case for greater diversity in economics and economic thinking. She has produced several books targeted at introducing economics and economic concepts to a non-specialist audience.
Her research in recent years has focused upon productivity and wellbeing, including how economic policy can, and should, make the world better. Professor Coyle has been a strong supporter of the University of Glasgow, taking part in public events and student-based activities.
The University of Glasgow awards honorary degrees to recipients in recognition of their achievements in the fields of arts, politics, humanities and science.
